The in hand class requirements are as follows:
IN-HAND DIVISION – Shown in bridle, in-hand walk/trot, judged 75% confirmation, quality, substance, 25% manners, way of going, disposition. Healed track injuries not to count. Braiding optional. No stallion may be handled by a junior.
1) War Horse – proof required of career earnings over $100,000 or at least 50 starts
2) Mare/filly – OTTB- Part of the Jockey Club T.I.P $50 champion
3) Gelding/stallion – OTTB- Part of the Jockey Club T.I.P $50 champion
4) Open Adoption/Rescue – must have proof of adoption papers/letter from organization. Open to both TB’s and non TB’s.
