Regretfully, we are cancelling the September 19th Horse Show

It is with a heavy heart that we regret cancelling our September 19th Horse Show. This year has been really tough for us as organizers. We want to make sure everyone has a fantastic experience and we knew it would be hard to pull that off this year with our collective calendars but we were game to give it a try. Unfortunately, several personal circumstances are making it too hard to accomplish.

We want everyone to realize that we didn’t want to make this call but for the good of the horse show, our sponsors, and our volunteer staff, we decided it would be better to cancel this year.

We hope you understand; we do this out of love for our thoroughbreds and to showcase second career options for off-track thoroughbreds. We want this to be the best experience for you and your horses too and we knew we couldn’t make that happen for you this year but are going to try our hardest to make that dream a reality next year.

We hope you will participate in the future and we thank you for all your past support. May you have a great show season this summer and fall.

September Show Date Set – September 19th

Mark your calendars! Our September show date is September 19th at the Bucks County Horse Park (our usual show venue) and this year we will be trying to raise funds for Turning for Home Racehorse Retirement Project. You can find out more about this program from the Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association on their web site. If you have any suggestions for improving the show or things you would like to see added, please let us know. We try to make improvements every time we do one of these. And, please, also remember we are essentially volunteers who put this on; our goal is to turn this into a successful non-profit providing show opportunities for newly rehomed thoroughbreds or thoroughbreds new to English riding, jumping, hunt seat equitation, or dressage. Your support is very welcome and we look forward to hearing from you.

Horse Show Tomorrow! Please be advised of a road closure on the route

Hi Everyone!

We just received word that 563 will be closed between 313 and 412 tomorrow due to a race of some kind. Please use Ridge Road instead to get to the Bucks County Horse Park. DO NOT TAKE 563 ON SEPTEMBER 13. Instead go past 563 and turn left onto Ridge Road which parallels the lake on the other side. Then left on 611 and proceed to the Horse Park. Ridge Road is the next traffic light past 563. See you there!

Mark Your Calendars! Our Next Show is September 13, 2014

Hi Everyone! We are super excited to announce our next show on September 13, 2014 at the Bucks County Horse Park. If you are like us, you can’t wait for this weather to get back into training in a serious way. With the winter we had, we thought it best to give everyone a bit more time to prepare and if there is a new horse in your life, our show is “new horse” friendly! Hope to see you there!September 13 Show Ad

Please Help Us Help Jimmy

For those of you who do not know, Jimmy Wray, long time show jumping competitor, our course designer, and awesome trainer was struck down by a stroke on November 15th. He is out of the ICU but as with many in the horse business, his medical insurance is no where near covering his expenses. He’s spent well over 40 years devoting his life to OTTBs and we want to make sure he has the opportunity to continue to do so once he returns home. Please, if you can, donate at the site that Dawn Conway set up below or if you aren’t comfortable with that, please send him a birthday card and if so moved, send a check with it to his house. We’d love to bury his room in cards so he knows how much he means to all of us. You can mail him a card and check to: Jimmy Wray, 1431 Standard Lane, Coopersburg, PA 18036 or you can donate to the GoFundMe account here: http://www.gofundme.com/5eys4k
